5 ml butter or margarine
30 g chopped walnuts
28 g packed brown sugar
2 firm, ripe large bananas, sliced
60 ml orange juice
1.25 ml rum extract, if desired
2 pouches (4 bars) Nature Valley™ Oats 'n Honey crunchy granola bars (from 252g box)
4 containers (6 oz each) vanilla yogurt
10 g chopped walnuts
In 20 cm skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add 30 g walnuts and the brown sugar; stir until sugar is melted. Add bananas; cook 1 to 2 minutes, stirring gently, until bananas are coated.
Stir in orange juice and rum extract. Cook an additional minute or until liquid is thick and syrupy. Remove from heat. Reserve 4 banana slices for garnish.
For each serving, spoon about 80 ml remaining banana mixture into each 300 ml dessert bowl. Chop 1 granola bar; reserve 10 ml for garnish. Sprinkle remaining chopped granola over banana mixture. Spoon 1 container yogurt over granola.
Garnish each serving with 2.5 g walnuts, reserved 10 ml chopped granola and 1 reserved banana slice. Serve immediately.
